Payment Process Workflow

The payment process represents a series of steps that follow a defined workflow.  Each step in the flow is marked by a specific status and a party responsible for resolving the status.  In effect, each step represents a desk and each desk has a person who is directly responsible for resolving the payments sitting on their desk.
