Committee Decision Making
The Request for Services committee is authorized to review requests submitted by support coordinators in behalf of the people they serve.
Deferring the Request
A request can be deferred for three reasons. They are:
1. The documentation and/or justification attached to a criterion are insufficient to either support or refute the argument the person satisfies the criterion's requirements. As a result, the Documents and/or Justification attached to the criterion must be modified. View the demonstration.
2. The service code's budget data and/or explanation are insufficient to either support or refute the argument the person should be funded at the level proposed in the budget. View the demonstration.
3. The committee decides to submit a change to the dates, rate and/or units of a service code as a Modified Approval. View the demonstration.
Finalizing the Request
A request must ultimately be approved, denied or rescinded. The committee determines if the service in the request will be approved or denied. However, if the worker determines the service identified in the request is no longer viable / needed, they can choose to rescind the entire request or a single service code within the request.
1. Record an "Approved" decision.
2. Record a "Denied" decision.
